Users across many departments find it incredibly helpful to access scheduling information via G2UI's web-browser interface, where information is amalgamated from the Traffic system and the Playout Automation system for a more complete view. |

| Traffic/Scheduling Systems |
|   |
G2UI makes a distinction about various scheduling systems that may be in use for any particular broadcaster: |
|   |
| - |
a consolidated scheduling system includes information about all program and interstitial events that have financial/reporting implications. This is the traditional concept of a "traffic" system. |
| - |
a program-centric scheduling system includes information only about program events. In facilities where interstitials form a crucial component of a schedule, this type of system typically provides additional program details, auxiliary to the primary Traffic system. |
|
|   |
G2UI can support either/both types of scheduling system, depending on how the data will benefit the users. |
|
|   |
| Interaction with Data in other Systems |
|   |
G2UI gathers relevant data from the scheduling system(s) and playout automation system. No financial data is ever accessed by G2UI, to preserve appropriate confidentiality and to ensure that G2UI can never be a source for distributing such data. As well, G2UI only reads data from these other systems, and deliberately does not write/revise any data within these systems, to protect the integrity of their data and processes. |

| Updating G2UI Data from other Systems |
|   |
G2UI provides mechanisms for both automatic and manual updates to data from the scheduling system(s) and playout automation system.   |
